A Small Change

Elle was upstairs in her room getting ready. School was getting started again, and this was an entirely different year. Alexa and her weren't the same girls that they were. They were a lot more popular than they used to be, things on the cheerleading squad were great, and high school couldn't be better, of course Trish and Bree not being there would make it better, but they can't have everything.

She figured a shopping trip was in order so she called up Alexa and asked John if he wanted to come along since they needed a ride. She sighed at her clothes, she was never one to really make a big deal about her outfits, make-up, or her hair but that seemed to have changed.

She out on a shirt skirt and a tank top before going over to her vanity to finish her hair and make up while she waited for them to come over.

Alexa had changed as well during the summer. She had dyed her hair a dark brunette and started wearing more revealing clothing, like the other cheerleaders. She flipped her hair as she checked herself in the mirror then smiled as she found herself satisfied, wearing short tight jean shorts and a red v-neck. In the past she wouldn't have been caught dead in these clothes but this was a new year, a new attitude. She slipped on a pair of heels then walked outside to John's car since he was picking her up before going to Elle's house.

"What the hell Klayton?" John asked as he eyed Alexa when she got in his car.

"What?" Alexa asked with a slight snobbish look on her face.

"Nothing..." John paused before he drove to Elle's house, getting there ten minutes later.

When they got out of the car they both walked up to the door and Alexa rang the doorbell.

Elle slipped on some black heels after getting her hair and make up finished. She grabbed her purse and walked downstairs.

"Hey! Alexa!" She smiled, hugging her friend. "Hey, John."

"Hey Elle, you look great." Alexa said, hugging her back.

John looked at Elle then scratched the back of his head confused.

"Hey..." John said.

"So do you, damn Lexa." She giggled before smiling widely at John before she hugged him.

"Ready to go to the mall? We look too good to be sitting inside all day." Alexa said with a chuckle.

John hugged Elle back then looked at the two of them back and forth. Maybe he just hadn't seen them in a while but they looked really different.

"Definitely, I didn't wear this for nothing." She said, linking arms with Alexa and starting to walk out.

"Me neither and there are a ton of cute guys at the mall so we need to hurry up and get there." Alexa said.

John followed them to the car as he listened to them, something was odd about those two.

"And I need a new outfit for school. My clothes are so blah, don't know how I made it last year in those dreadful outfits." Elle said.

"Ugh the same with my closet. I tried to get some new clothes last week but my crazy mom wouldn't get me a lot because she thought the clothes didn't send a good message. Whatever, she obviously is too old to get what looks good these days." Alexa said with a roll of her eyes.

Elle rolled her eyes as well. "Don't you hate that? They have no taste at all. And a good message? You look hot, how is that not a good message?"

"I know! You would think she would be proud of me for being a good model to other people, you dress like this you will look good and feel good. Duh." Alexa said.

"They'd rather you look frumpy and have bad self-esteem. What the hell, that makes no sense." Elle said.

"I know. Parents though, they're so lame. They never get anything." Alexa said as she got into John's car while John got in the driver's seat.

"So over them." Elle said, rolling her eyes as she got in after Alexa.

"Me too. I think we know what's best for us, it's our lives." Alexa said.

"And we have a pretty damn good one too. We're popular, we look amazing, what more could we ask for?" Elle stated.

"Hot boyfriends. Maybe we'll meet them at the mall." Alexa said with a grin.

"Maybe we should skip the mall and go get ice cream or something." John suggested.

"Hm, good idea. I need someone to entertain, haven't heard much from Dave." Elle said with a pout before raising an eyebrow at John. "And we'd do that, why?"

"I haven't heard from Randy..." Alexa stopped in the middle of her sentence when she heard John.

"Yeah John why the hell would we do that?" Alexa asked.

"Because...we all like ice cream?" John asked with a tiny grin.

"Yeah...no. Take us to the mall." Alexa said.

"He's trying to get us fat, goodness, John." Elle said.

"I know! John that's horrible, we just became cheerleaders." Alexa said with disgust.

"One ice cream cone couldn't hurt." John said.

"It could, John. Goodness." Elle scoffed.

"Even a small cone? Come on I want ice cream." John said, getting slightly desperate now.

"No! Drive to the mall!" Alexa yelled.

John sighed and gave in as he began driving to the mall. Slutty clothes and bitchy attitudes...what was next?

"What has gotten into you, Cena? Seriously." Elle said.
